Best of July 2016 II Beauty & Lifestyle

Hello and happy sunday everyone,
July is over and so it's time for my favorites, it's kinda terrifying how much happened this month. I mean July has felt like one of the longest, sadest and happiest month that I've had this year. I've written my last exam, finished this school year, worked on my website and travelled to 3 different countries. Anyway, I'm happy that July is finally over and so August, my favorite summer month, can start. This month is literally meant to make memories.

Beauty:

Hoola bronzing powder - benefit

Some years ago, I wanted to buy this bronzing powder but I never did because in my opinion the bronzer is way to expensive. Nevertheless I had to buy it now and I'm very impressed. This powder is definitely a product that you can use everyday, anyhow I want to mention that it's easy to over apply, so be careful.

Essie - Allure

This nail polish is a very  beautiful one if you're looking for a sheer/milky nail polish which looks very professional on your nails or if you simply don't want to use all these bright summer nail polishes anymore.

Decléor - aroma dynamic refreshing toning gel

This month the weather has been so crazy, we've had everything from 15°C one day to 36°C the next day. So on days when it's very hot outside I like to apply this refreshing toning gel on my legs.

Music:

Have you ever found some old records in your attic?
I've found some a few months ago and absolutely wanted to listen to them. So I bought myself a record player and started listening to some old records, aswell as to some new ones. If you're a big music fan I'll totally recommend you to start collecting records.
But I've also some song recommendations for you this month. Firstly we have the song "Catch Me If You Can - Walking On Cars", aswell as the song "Cold in California - Marcus Layton" and last but not least the song "Last Resort - Papa Roach".
And for the first time in forever I have found a playlist which I really liked this month "Warm Fuzzy Feeling". I really liked to listen to the music on this playlist while I was writting down some things or simply while I was reading a book.

Random:

Once again my random category will contain more favorites than all my other categories together, but who cares. It's just that I've experienced a big amount of different things/emotions this month and so I've a lot to talk about.
Let's start of at the begining, my very personal post "starting a new chapter" has been my most read post so far and I want to thank you for that, it was difficult for me to, in some way, write about my emotions. Speaking about emotions, my last school day has also been very emotional, but it's over now and I'm ready for my future.
I also want to thank one particular person for always having been there for me in the past three weeks. I don't know if you're ever going to read this, but thank you.
My summer holidays have started and so I've already been away. I've actually visited Belgium, the Nederlands and Germany this month, which I'm very thankful for. Pictures will soon follow on my instragram account.
I don't know if you wanna know more about my life, so I think I'm going to stop there. But all in one this has been my life in the past couple of weeks. I hope you've experienced as much or even more as I have and so I wish you a great start in the next month.

See you soon,

Heidelberg, Germany II travel

travel with me

Last weekend was the first time that I've ever visited Heidelberg, therefore I don't think I can give you any great tips. Nevertheless I just want to share some pictures and talk a little bit about our stay. We had a really good time there, so I've decided that this post is going to be some kind of a travel diary about Heidelberg.

We spend two beautiful days in Heidelberg, a small city which is located in southwest Germany, we actually only walked around the old town, explored the city and went shopping.
We stayed in the Qube hotel, which is a really nice hotel and restaurant and by foot only 10-15 minutes away from the heart of the city.
The weather was pretty amazing so we spent much time on lovely terraces which you can litterally find on every corner of the city.
We went shopping as well which was really fun. In fact Heidelberg has the longest shopping street in Europe with a lenght of 1,6 kilometers.
On our last day we decided to walk the Philosophenweg (Philosophers' Walk) which is located on the northern side of the Neckar River. This path offers a wonderful view over the old town and the Heidelberg Castle. We really enjoyed the view and I actually found this pretty shamrock.
Overall I loved Heidelberg and I think I'll come back in the future.

Hope you're all having a nice weekend.
See you soon,

We stayed in a very nice hotel in a small town in Germany. (post will follow in the next days)
They had a wonderful terrace, so I thought it would be a nice idea to take some pictures there and show you my outfit for a little citytrip.
Unfortunately the weather was way better than we thought so my outfit was too thick, anyways I hope you like this post.

Time to start a new chapter II thoughts

Do you know the feeling of not knowing if you are taking the right decisions?

I'm currently sitting on my bed with some coffee and I simply don't know if I've made the right decision.
My summer holidays are starting in a few days, actually in two. And as most of my friends I'm really excited for them to finally start, but I'm also scared cause I know that my life will never ever be the same again. I'm changing school. I know I should be happy because I can finally follow my dream and attend an art class.
Anyhow I want to thank everyone, my school year 2015-2016 was really amazing although I wasn't as motivated as I should have been. I've made really good new friends and a big number of new memories. And I have had for sure the funniest and deepest conversations that I've ever had in my life. Thank you for that, I will miss you all.

I'm way too sentimental for all these things, I know, but perhaps I can help someone out there, simply by sharing my thoughts with you.
Anyway, I think it's time for me to let the past behind and to make plans for my future. I'm now at a point were I have to end this chapter and start a new one in September. Between both I still have 9 weeks to write small stories and to make this summer unforgettable.

If you're in a similar situation right know just let the past behind you and always remember that "your best is yet to come". If you really don't know what to do, go to sleep and ask yourself what you really want in life, think about it just before you fall asleep. Wake up the next morning with dreams and plans and follow them, even if some people would tell you that they are boring.
This is your life and everything that matters is your own happiness, don't regret anything that once made you happy, we all learn from our failure. You're stronger than you think, believe me.

See you soon,

Best of June 2016 II Beauty & Lifestyle

Hello world,
I'm back with my monthly favorites, this time a little bit later because my laptop broke down and I actually had to learn for my last exam before I could look after my macbook and finish this blogpost. I'm very excited today, because I've written my last exam and holidays are coming in a few days. But before that I want to share this post with you, enjoy.

Beauty:

Mac Whirl

This lipstick was my favorite this month, I bought it a few months ago in Maastricht and since that day I'm in love with the color and formula. If you wanna see how the lipstick looks on my lips, hop over to my last fashion post (here).

Revlon professional revlonissimo 45 days total color care

This is an sulfate free shampoo for colored hair or for hair which has been treaten with coloring shampoo (like mine). Actually I tried to dye my hair by myself and I totally failed. So my hairdresser and this shampoo helped me to gain the best possible result.

Random:

Netflix

I think most of you should know and perhaps also have Netflix. Briefly said I was obsessed with Netflix, not because of all the series they have, but because of the films. This month was a very stressfull one for me and so whenever I had time to relax I really liked to watch a film.

Plants

Perhaps you're asking yourself now why plants have made it into my favorites. Well it's simple I wanted to have some new plants in my room and so I bought these ones and I'm happy with them.

Music:

Music is always my favorite categorie, but this time I don't have a great number of new songs for you. As always I have my two playlists ( alternative & summer vibes '16) which you can find on my  spotify (here).  Nevertheless there are also two songs which I want to share with you:
Pity Party - Melanie Martinez and Boulevard Of Broken Dreams - Green Day. These two songs kinda  describe my month pretty well.

Book:

Ein Sommer und vier Tage - Adriana Popescu

As I really like reading books, but I don't want to read books with a deeper meaning in schooltime, I decided to read this youth book. Actually the book is only available in german so I don't know if I should explain in great details what the book is all about, but basically it's a beautiful lovestory between two teenagers.

See you soon,

P.S: What are your plans for summer? Let me know in the comments if you want.

"Let's have a great summer!"
